Bible Study
Every Tuesday throughout the year, we gather in the Parish Hall parlor to spend an hour with Holy Scripture. In looking at Scripture we look at its history and context as well as its meaning for us.You can join at any time! Some people come every week, and some only come occasionally -- there is no right or wrong way to do it.
In the Exhortation to a Holy Lent, on p. 265 in the Book of Common Prayer, we are told that one of the most important ways we can draw near to God is "by reading and meditating on God's holy Word." Every Tuesday we strive to come closer to God by spending time with the Word that he is speaking to us. It is our goal to be like the Christians in Berea, who "welcomed the message very eagerly and examined the scriptures every day to see whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11)
You can bring your Bible or you can use one of our Bibles -- just come and enjoy some fellowship as we listen to God together!
