At Good Shepherd, anyone can be involved in the Flower Guild ministry! You can work on your own in Flower Guild, or on a team with another person if you prefer. There is room in Flower Guild for experienced floral artists and for beginners. If you have never arranged flowers before, we can teach you! There are basic principles of arranging, but once you have mastered those, Flower Guild can be a place to let your creative side shine. If this is a ministry that you are drawn to, reach out to Pat Underwood or Jackie Rutberg, and let your artistry bloom!

Flower Guild

Flowers at the altar and in the church are a central part of the beauty that we offer up to God in worship. The Flower Guild prepares the flowers for our Sunday worship and feast days, as well as for weddings and funerals. At Easter and Christmas, the whole parish comes together to help decorate our space for the feast days.

After the service, our flowers often go to those in our parish who are in need of care, so the Flower Guild is an important extension of our pastoral care ministry.
